Sona Devi University in Ghatsila witnessed a vibrant celebration of Diwali as students organized a grand Diwali Festival in the university auditorium. The event was marked by enthusiasm and a strong sense of cultural pride as students and faculty members came together to celebrate the festival of lights.
To add to the festivities, three themed competitions were held among students, bringing out their creativity and competitive spirit. In the Rangoli competition, four teams participated, with Team C taking the top spot for their impressive artwork. Another highlight of the event was the Poster Making competition, where students created posters centered on voter awareness. Team D emerged victorious in this category, showcasing their artistic skills while promoting an important social message.
In addition to these activities, students also set up ten food stalls featuring traditional dishes, which were enjoyed by all attendees, adding a delightful culinary experience to the celebration.
Dr. Gulab Singh ‘Azad,’ Registrar of Sona Devi University, along with several faculty members, served as judges for the competitions. The event was organized under the leadership of Cultural Committee Coordinator Mrs. Archana Singh, whose guidance helped make the Diwali festival a resounding success.
The event not only celebrated the joy of Diwali but also fostered a sense of community and cultural pride within the university. Faculty, students, and staff alike joined hands to create memorable moments and celebrate the essence of Diwali, promoting unity, creativity, and awareness.
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय, घाटशिला के ऑडिटोरियम में आज विद्यार्थीयों द्वारा दीपावली महोत्सव का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर विद्यार्थीयों के बीच तीन थीम पर प्रतियोगिता भी आयोजित कराई गई । रंगोली प्रतियोगिता में चार टीमों ने हिस्सा लिया । रंगोली प्रतियोगिता में ग्रुप सी की टीम ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। दूसरी प्रतियोगिता पोस्टर मेकिंग की हुई इसमें छात्र – छात्रओं ने मतदाता जागरूकता थीम पर आधारित पोस्टर बनाई। पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता में ग्रुप डी की टीम विजेता रही।
इस मौके पर विद्यार्थीयों ने खाने की चीजों के दस स्टॉल लगाये यहाँ सभी ने पारम्परिक भोजन का आंनद लिया I इस अवसर पर जज के रूप में विश्वविद्यालय के कुलसचिव डॉक्टर गुलाब सिंह ‘आज़ाद’, कई फैकल्टी मेंबर शामिल हुए I कल्चरल कमिटी के संयोजिका श्रीमति अर्चना सिंह के नेतृत्व में छात्र – छात्रओं ने दीपावली महोत्सव को सफल बनाया।
