Sona Devi University in Ghatshila is celebrating International Women’s Month this March by offering a significant incentive to empower women’s education. Female students enrolling in Arts, Commerce, and Science courses will receive a 50% assured scholarship, highlighting the institution’s commitment to gender equality in education and increasing opportunities for women in higher education.

Sona Devi University (SDU), in collaboration with Sadar Hospital, Ghatshila, organized a Health Camp on February 27th, 2024, at the university campus aimed at eradicating Phylariasis disease from the region. The initiative was part of SDU’s ongoing commitment to promoting community health and well-being.

On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, Sona Devi University reverberated with joyous celebrations as the campus witnessed the worship of Goddess Saraswati. The event, held on 14th February 2024, marked a significant cultural and spiritual milestone for the university community.

The inauguration of the 708th eye camp operation session, organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, in collaboration with the Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital, Chimanlal Bhalotiya Service Institute, Rajasthan Seva Sadan, and the District Rural Health Committee, was graced by the presence of Mr. Prabhakar Singh, Chairman of the Sona Devi Memorial Educational Foundation Trust
